This application-based activity provides 12 hours (1.2 CEU) (6 hours video, 6 hours independent study & self-assessment). It is intended for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who provide services to Spanish speaking patients.
Plus you can do it at your own pace, in your own home, at your computer.
Educational Objectives:
After completing this course the pharmacist will be able to:
- Correctly pronounce any word in Spanish.
- Communicate in complete sentences.
- Greet a Spanish-speaking patient and ask basic questions.
- State the date and time.
- Discuss symptoms and medical conditions.
- Discuss insurance coverage for prescription drugs.
- Inform patients of prescription status.
- Communicate problems with refills.
- Obtain personal information such as drug allergies and current medications.
- Name prescription and over-the-counter medications.
- Give accurate directions for use including warnings of side effects and drug interactions.
