- Describe the epidemiology, socioeconomic impact and risk factors associated with skin cancer .
- Describe how the various types of skin cancer differ from each other with respect to clinical features, prognosis and treatment.
- Summarize the 2009 U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations for skin cancer screening.
- List specific examples of how the pharmacist can educate patients to decrease the risk of developing skin cancer.
At the conclusion of this continuing education lesson, the pharmacy technician will be able to:
- Describe 3 factors that increase a person's risk for skin cancer.
- Describe how the various types of skin cancer differ from each other.
- Summarize the 2009 U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations for skin cancer screeing.
