- Describe the epidemiology, societal impact, morbidity and mortality associated with tobacco dependence.
- List the lifetime benefits associated with permanent smoking cessation.
- Discuss the biological and psychological aspects of nicotine addiction.
- Discuss behavioral modification and non-pharmacological therapy used to treat tobacco dependence.
- Describe the clinical use of nicotine replacement therapy, varenicline, bupropion, and other adjuncts for smoking cessation.
