- Discuss criteria for selecting safe brands.
- Review the safety and efficacy, adverse reactions and contraindications of popular supplements including fish oil, cassia cinnamon, grapeseed extract, resveratrol, glucosamine, ginseng, CoQ10, green tea, ginkgo biloba, feverfew , multivitamins and chocolate.
- Review the primary literature.

Dr. Susan Paulsen is an experienced pharmacy educator. She was recently appointed Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Assessment at Regis University in Denver Colorado. Dr. Paulsen works at the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital, putting an emphasis on the wellness and healing of the entire person, drawing on both conventional and complementary medicine. |
