Course Description:
Effective communication is vital in today’s healthcare system. Optimal communication between the healthcare professional and the patient can actually have an impact on the patient’s overall health and outcomes. This program will focus on the processes of conflict and skills necessary to reduce or minimize negative outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will be able to:

1. Discuss reasons, benefits and types of personal conflicts.
2. List emotions involved in conflict situationsnge.
3. Demonstrate communication skills and techniques which help minimize and prevent conflicts when dealing with difficult people.
