Goals and Objectives
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- List some of the basic safeguards required by the Security Rule to be implemented to protect e-PHI from unauthorized access, alteration, deletion, or transmission.
- Describe ways in which the requirements of the Security Rule affect day-to-day activities as they relate to job functions in pharmacy.
- Explain ways to avoid and respond to security threats.
- Determine which email practices are not safe in any health care environment.
- Determine when to report a security incident or suspected security incident.

This program is appropriate for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
