This presentation gives the latest information, research, and practice tools to assure safe and effective bowel preparation. The focus will be on the techniques to ensure in safe and effective bowel preparation for colonoscopy and other medical procedures.

  1. Discuss the physiology of bowel preparation
  2. Compare and contrast available bowel preparation agents
  3. Describe common barriers to safe bowel preparation
  4. Evaluate clinical data required to pick the right bowel preparation for the right patient
